Portland Skyline HDR Photo

by sean on November 11, 2010

While I was walking back from lunch today, getting ready to get back to work, I caught a glimpse of Mt. Hood with a pretty cool light on it that I knew would make for a good hdr photo.  I’d missed that opportunity before, so I ran home grabbed my camera and walked a few blocks up to Vista Bridge to compose a shot.

Vista Bridge certainly has one of the most beautiful views of Portland from anywhere in the city, but if you can catch it at the right time, the view with Mt. Hood in the background is breathtaking.  I’d love to head up here during sunrise at some point.

Shot with a Nikon D5000 and Sigma 18-200mm lens from 3 RAW brackets at +/- 2 stops.

Nice shot! If it wasn’t so cloudy here I’d show you want Mt Bachelor looked like with all the fresh snow! Cheers!

Oh man, I bet it is BEAUTIFUL. Hoping to make it out there this year, it’s been at least two or three years since I’ve skied Bachelor. Keep you posted!

Stunning! I’ve been thinking a lot about Portland for the last year. I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to live there in 2011. So beautiful…
